A new promotional art and production details have been revealed for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of “Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote” by Kou Nigatsu. The official announcement confirms that the series is scheduled to premiere on April 10th in Japan.
Based on Kou Nigatsu’s light novels, the series follows the story of Yuuhi Yuugure and Yasumi Utatane, two high school students who are also classmates and voice actresses. Together, they host a weekly radio show, showcasing a great friendship in front of their listeners. However, behind the scenes, their relationship is anything but friendly. Chika, the reserved one, and Yumiko, the outgoing one, are polar opposites and cannot stand each other.
The anime will be directed by Hideki Tachibana at CONNECT studios, known for their work on “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? II” and “Armed Girl’s Machiavellism”. Keiichirou Oochi will handle the scriptwriting and supervision, while Shouko Takimoto will be in charge of character design and animation direction.
With a voice cast led by Miku Itou as Yasumi Utatane and Moe Toyota as Yuuhi Yuugure, “Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote” promises a unique experience by exploring the dynamics between two girls who, despite their differences, share a passion for voice acting.
